Job Description:

The Automation Engineer is responsible for researching, constructing, installing, and programming custom sensing and automation systems for production purposes; as well as maintaining, repairing, and improving existing automated production equipment and assembly machines.

Responsibilities:

• Design, fabrication, programming, and grooming of automated control systems, sensing systems, vision systems, and production equipment
• Wiring of electronic control systems, both self-contained and those which are integrated into existing processes.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment on production equipment.
• Develop documentation material for existing and newly developed automation systems, e.g., electrical schematics, basic mechanical drawings, and operations manuals.
• Program programmable logic controllers, cameras, and robotic systems
• Troubleshoot and repair various production equipment including electromechanical assembly and automation systems that utilize various sensors, pnuematics, cameras, Programmable Logic Controllers, and robotics

 

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

• BS in Engineering or related discipline or equivalent education/experience.
